The Kanab Preservation Foundation

A Utah Nonprofit Corporation, 501(c)(3)

Kanab was first settled in 1864, and the town was founded in 1870 when Mormon Pioneers moved into the area. Named for a Paiute word meaning “place of the willows,”

With today’s rapid pace of growth in Kanab, our foundation is helping to prioritize the preservation of historical buildings and artifacts and honor the stories behind them.

Our mission is to protect and preserve our past, as to educate and inspire future generations.
